Mark Boseman was kind enough to ask me to compose an etude on double-lateral techniques for his book. I decided to write it in the form of a short adventure.
Stepping into the forest, it seems almost pitch black, but the further you walk, the more you notice silvery stars flickering through the leaves. At a clearing you look up to floating, wispy clouds, glowing in the light of the moon. The forest seems brighter than ever as you bound through the trees toward the river. The sparkling light of the night reflects off its shimmering surface. You rest on the bank as fireflies glow all around you.
The book will be available soon, but you can see Mark's video of Night Light below.
